Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 8, 2026

This policy explains what Sertiv collects about you, how it uses and stores that information, who it's shared with, and the controls you have. Plain language wherever possible.

1. Who runs Sertiv

Sertiv is operated by Tee Time LLC. We are the data controller for personal information processed through the app. Questions, data requests, or complaints: support@sertiv.com.

2. What we collect

What we do NOT collect:

  • Location
  • Contacts
  • Photos or media (unless you paste them into a message, in which case they travel with the message)
  • Cross-app or cross-site tracking identifiers
  • Advertising identifiers (IDFA)
  • Payment or financial information beyond what Apple processes for subscriptions — we never see your card details

3. How we use your data

We use your data exclusively to operate Sertiv:

  • Provide the coaching experience — goals/tasks/etc. are what the assistant coaches you against, and your messages are what it responds to.
  • Personalize coaching — the app derives a conversation summary and optional coaching notes so the assistant remembers context across sessions.
  • Operate and improve the app — crash logs and minimal diagnostic data help us fix bugs.

We do not:

  • Use your data for advertising
  • Sell your data to anyone
  • Train third-party AI models on your messages (see §5)
  • Track you across apps or websites

4. AI processing (important)

When you use the Chat tab, your messages are sent to Anthropic (anthropic.com), our AI provider, for processing by their Claude large-language-model API. Anthropic acts as a sub-processor on our behalf and:

  • Receives the content of your messages plus a compiled summary of your goals, tasks, calendar events (when relevant to what you're asking about or planning), and other Sertiv context so the model can respond intelligently. Calendar event titles, times, and locations may be included in this context — they are not sent for any other purpose.
  • Does not use your data to train their models by default under their API terms (zero-data-retention policy for API customers).
  • Retains the content only for a short operational window per their stated policy, then deletes it.

We periodically run a lightweight secondary AI call against your messages to derive (a) a short conversation summary and (b) one-sentence notes about significant personal context. Both are stored on your profile and shown to you in Settings → Chat memory, where you can review, pause future capture, or delete anything that's been stored.

These providers are bound by industry-standard data-processing agreements. We may add or change sub-processors with reasonable notice via an updated version of this policy.

6. How long we keep your data

  • While your account is active: indefinitely, so the app can keep working across sessions.
  • Soft-deleted chat history (after you tap "Clear conversation history"): retained in the database with a deleted_at marker. Not shown in the UI. Not sent to the AI provider. Kept so you could theoretically request recovery — see §9.
  • After you delete your account: everything you own is hard-deleted within seconds. Backups are retained by our hosting provider (Supabase) per their retention policy (typically up to 7 days for point-in-time recovery) and are then overwritten.
  • Abuse-prevention hash: when your account is deleted, we retain a one-way SHA-256 hash of the normalized email address that was used, alongside the date your most recent trial was granted. This is not reversible into your email and contains no other data about you. We use it for a single purpose — to prevent the same email from receiving an unlimited number of free trials by repeated sign-up-and-delete.

7. Children

Sertiv is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 where required by law, including under the UK Age Appropriate Design Code and GDPR Article 8). If we learn that we've collected personal data from a child under that age, we'll delete it. Parents who believe their child has provided us data should contact support@sertiv.com.

8. How we secure your data

  • All traffic between your device and Sertiv servers is encrypted (TLS).
  • Database rows are encrypted at rest by our hosting provider.
  • Row-Level Security in the database ensures one user's data is never returned to another user's queries.
  • Admin operations (e.g. deleting accounts) happen inside authenticated edge functions, never from the client.

No system is perfectly secure; if you suspect a breach has affected you, contact support@sertiv.com and we'll investigate promptly.

9. Your rights

Regardless of where you live, you can:

  • Access / download your data. Settings → Profile → Export my data produces a full JSON snapshot.
  • Correct your profile information from Settings → Profile.
  • Delete individual pieces of memory from Settings → Chat memory, clear your entire chat history with a soft-delete from the ··· menu in the Chat tab, or delete your entire account from Settings → Profile.
  • Opt out of future AI-based memory extraction while keeping existing notes: Settings → Chat memory → "Pause new notes".
  • Object to processing or request portability under GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA.

If you're in the EU/UK/California, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (ICO, CNIL, CPPA, etc.).

10. International transfers

Data may be stored and processed in the United States (Supabase and Anthropic both operate US-based infrastructure). If you are accessing the app from the EU/UK, your data will be transferred to the US under Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent lawful transfer mechanism.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Substantive changes will be announced in the app or via email to your account address. The "Effective date" at the top will always reflect the current version.

12. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the United States of America, without reference to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of your country of residence.
